WELDER

Are you a perfectionist who wants to make a difference? Join our team to tackle challenging projects for a range of critical industries, including Defense and Aerospace. Welders require a basic understanding of weld symbols, welding positions and blueprint reading. You will also need to have a general knowledge of various hand tools used to perform your duties such as grinders, tape measures, chipping hammers and personal protective equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Understanding of main welding processes: FCAW, GMAW, GTAW and SMAW
Advanced in at least one of the four main welding processes
Understanding of using oxy-fuel, plasma arc and carbon arc cutting equipment
Ability to set parameters on welding machine with guidance from supervisor and understand information listed on Welding Procedure Specifications

Qualifications

High school diploma
Level 1 welder certification preferred
Follow written and verbal directions from department supervisor
Ability to learn and adapt new welding techniques
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, stooping and twisting
