MATERIALS
We work with a number of aluminum alloys, most frequently using MIG and TIG welding processes, including:
- Pure aluminum (1060, 1100)
- Duralumin/copper alloys (2000 series)
- Manganese alloys (3000 series)
- Silumin/silicon alloys (4000 series)
- Magnesium alloys (5000 series)
- Magnesium/silicon alloys (6000 series)
- Zinc alloys (7000 series)
- Lithium alloys (8000 series)
We have the equipment and experience to fabricate carbon steel components of nearly any thickness and in every grade, including mid, low-carbon, high carbon and high strength low alloy steel. Plus, we stock a large inventory of different forms and grades of carbon steel — so we can get to work on your project without waiting for materials to arrive. Our versatility and depth of experience means we can meet any carbon steel welding challenge, most often using SAW, MIG, FCAW, SMAW or TIG welding.
We have created strong, high-quality, corrosion-resistant parts out of virtually every stainless steel alloy using SMAW, GTAW or GMAW welding, including:
- 100 series
- 200 series
- 300 series
- 400 series
- 500 series
- 600 series
- Duplex stainless steel
- PH stainless steel
MERRILL has deep expertise in working with the extraordinary strength capabilities of high-nickel alloys, including:
- Monel
- Inconel
- Hastelloy
- Copper nickel
- Magnesium
- Titanium
- Plus rolled homogeneous armor class 1 and 2.
